Before you come to know your dates are current, you will have 4-5 months to get the approved notice or more then that , during that time add your spouse name.
Once it is 485 is approved, then you have to wait for a while until you get Green Card to add your wife.

My GC is under process and I am using my EAD. Due to a family emergency, I may need to go to India for a longer period of time. Right now, I dont see any option but to resign from my current job and move to India. But I do not want to risk my GC process either.
What can I do in this situation? Please advise.

I have an appeal Pending with AAO for a denied I140 EB3 India 2004, If I withdraw my appeal and refile I140 I know I will loose pending I485 application. but will have ability to extend my h1 in november showing the refiled I140?

Hi
I was staying in Oregon.I am working in CA for the last one month.
My family still stays in Oregon and will continue there. We also moved to diff apt one month back in Oregon. ( In the same apt complex/zipcode)
I will stay here in CA for couple of months.
Can I give the present address in Oregon for all of my family members Since my family still staying there.
Do I need to give my present address for me in CA. I may be moving to diff apts here depending on project/confort.
Pls advice.

I am in the same situation and I filed for AOS using approved 140 from Company A. The only risk is, if we get an approval within 180 days then technically we will have to go and work for Company A for minimum 90 days, which in my case is not possible. My lawyer said that he highly doubts that any action will be taken in 180 days (my PD is June 05) and once 180 days are over, you can use the luxury of AC21 and could be working for any employer at that time.
I say go ahead and file for 485 and at the same time tell your employer to initiate LC process. They can use LC for some other candidate if you end up not using it.

my wife is US citizen , applied for permanent residency (green card) almost 6 months back , my interview was 2 days back, everything went thru alrite, the immigration officer said at the end of interview , " your case been aproved, but we did not get the background chk from FBI , as soon as we get it we are going to mail you the green card "

Yes, this is very sad. I did receive the same email. Monthly $10 wouldn't be much. May be you can get rid of one pay channel or the munchies from grocery store. That's the only sacrifice you had to do !

If you just want MultiScaleImage content to display without a web server, you can do that today itself! That is what Deep Zoom Composer does. The only challenge comes from loading external XML content such as the XML file used for filtering :)

You don't need to send anything - they already have your I-485 application. They will ask if they want. After few weeks of e-filing, I was called for "biometrics". They only took my picture, and that was it. On 11th week I got my EAD. Mine was same as yours: first EAD but having one prior OPT. I mentioned OPT EAD in my application.

All i know is that as of yesterday there were only 18000 applications for Masters quota.
Why did not they get filled as fast as the Regular quota?
This is the reasoning my lawyer gave....
"Most of the applicants for Master's quota were in confusion after April 3 after reading several bulletins about 200,000 or so H1-B applications. And some people didn't even apply thinking that the USCIS may have received more than enough master's quota applications even though the bulletin said that they were accepting more applications for Master's quota."
I know of people who have submitted fresh H1-B applications under master's quota as late as April 7th.
So guys, wait for the official numbers. Don't believe me. But do compare when the official news is released.
I am surprised by the slow pace of Master's applications.

Me and my spouse both work on H1B and I am applying for I-485 along with EAD/AP for both me and my spouse. My question is since my spouse is already in H1B with certain job title which was mentioned in one of the documents that was filled with i-485, when spouse uses EAD does she need to be looking for similiar jobs only?. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

My perm was filed in May 2007 in EB2. Got RFE in July 2007. Replied within 2 weeks. No response since then.
Can I do anything from my side. Is there any way to contact/request DOL to inquire about the case.
